Book your next holiday in Tenerife

Tenerife, the Canary Islands

Stunning weather is one of the main reasons why you should be considering having your next holiday in Tenerife on the Canary Isles. Sunshine is nearly guaranteed 365 days a year – something that visitors from the UK can really look forward to!

For visitors from Britain, Tenerife is nearly always one of the top holiday destinations in Winter, and it’s hard not to see why. There’s a variety of elements that combine to create the ideal holiday island – from a more built-up and busy area of Los Cristianos in the South-West to the more remote and traditional Northern-side of the islands.

About Tenerife

The Landscape

With huge cliffs on the Western-side of the island and a more peaceful atmosphere for a holiday, Los Gigantes is a popular choice for older holidaymakers and suchlike. If you travel a little further down the coast you’ll also discover the more old-fashioned fishing villages that Tenerife has to offer, blended in with some quite luxurious hotels to choose from.

The further North of the island you get the more traditional life becomes, and here is where you’ll find your authentic Spanish experience. With a slightly cooler and wetter climate (on the North side you’ll get more rain generally speaking, which still isn’t much by Tenerife’s standards) you’ll see a lusher-green landscape too.

Where is Tenerife?

Tenerife’s Climate

As we’ve already mentioned, Tenerife enjoys nearly all year sunshine so there isn’t really a bad time to go. Obviously in the Winter months it’s more quiet on the island, as the majority of visits come during the height of Summer (June – August), so Winter may be a good time for those looking for more of an adventure holiday, or to get away from a dull and dreary England over the festive period.

Being known internationally as the “Island of Eternal Spring”, it should inspire you to really consider booking your next holiday on Tenerife. Being on the same latitude as the Sahara Desert, the temperature is usually between 24-28 degrees in Summer and 18-24 degrees in Winter.

Where to Stay in Tenerife

There are a variety of hotel choices for the typical holidaymaker, from family villas to rent out through to smaller hotel apartments and even 5* luxurious hotels. There really is something for everyone to choose from, and with a large variety in price too.
