Embrujo Show
I paid 8,500 pesetas per ticket for the show which included an optional meal and free wine, of course I opted for the free wine and expected to be well impressed for 8,500 pesetas per ticket. We arrived at 7.30 pm at the spectacular Piramide de Arona auditorium, walking proudly between the huge entrance pillars expecting to be hugely impressed. We were the first to arrive for our meal and received prompt attention. While waiting for the arrival of the first course we admired the spectacular décor. There was a five course meal of reasonable proportions and excellent quality, but beware do not be enticed by the brandy on offer at the end as this costs an extra £6 each. Onto the show, Embrujo means Enchantment, it is a mixture of classical Spanish ballet which has been superbly choreographed by the world famous Carmen Mota. The show starts at 9.30 and lasts for two hours. Please avoid the first six rows as the view is not so spectacular and you are likely to get wet from the over exuberent and dedicated dancers. There are twenty four dancers who leave you breathless with not only a highly energetic performance but one that is highly charged with emotion. If you want to impress someone while on holiday don't miss it. Shows every night except Sundays.Article by Paul Hughes.
