Trips worth checking out

If you get fed up with surfing or like me last year, the family are getting on your back whinging about you disappearing each day, there are some day trips on the island worth checking out. Notice I said day trips, so when you get back you've just got enough time to nip in the surf quickly lol. A few of them are listed below :-

The Camel Safari
Based at Jandia in the south of the island, the trip includes a ride on a camel, a Canarian lunch, a parrot show and a visit to the Zoo, with it's large variety of animals. A good day out and keeps the kids amused.

Land of the Volcanoes
This is a very interesting trip, which takes you to the nearby island of Lanzarote via the ferry from Corralejo. The highlight of the day is a visit to the Timanfaya National Volcano Park, where some of the experiments with water and hay will amaze you. This trip also takes you wine tasting and finally you visit the Green Caves, with the tiny white crabs in the water there. This is one cool trip.
