Excursions in Fuerteventura: Betancuria Museum

The museum is located in the old part of the town Betancuria in the hause of traditional style.

Two of the five rooms are devoted to show archaeological material, two of them are palaeontological remains and the other is etnography.
The natural resources of Fuerteventura Island and the material culture of "Mahos"- pre-hispanic inhabitans of Fuerteventura- are also on show in there.

The palaeontology section shows you the island's climatic evolution in past ages and etnography hall displays objects such as bowls, laterns, sheapherds bags, manual mills, mortars, and the small collection of aborigine and popular pottery reproduction.
