Quinta do Estreito is a beautifully restored Quinta hotel with a relaxing atmosphere, in lovely countryside just 15 minutes from Funchal and 40 minutes away from the airport.

The Quinta do Estreito is very elegantly decorated and tastefully furnished in warm colours with exquisite taste and great attention to detail. The main building has been lovingly restored and the south-facing rooms all have a large balcony.

The gardens comprise of an olive grove, a French garden, tropical plants and organic agriculture. The quinta also has a swimming pool and esplanade.

The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service twice a day to Funchal. A taxi stand is also nearby. The stop for buses to Funchal and towards the west of the island it is only a 5 minutes� walk. There is also free parking at the hotel as well as an underground garage.

Surrounded by vineyards on the southern slopes of the main wine producing area of Madeira, at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level, you will find the charming Hotel Quinta do Estreito with breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Desertas Islands. 'Estreito de C�mara de Lobos' - the village where the hotel is located - is a traditional Madeiran village with its characteristic ambiance and a few shops and bars.

If you enjoy walking and exploring then you will find the Quinta is wonderfully located to wander the local levadas and investigate the surroundings.

For those that prefer to get about at a faster rate, a hire car will give you easy access to not only the breathtaking views of the sunny south coast, but to the complete island. Our central location gives you the perfect start for tours to the east, west or north of the island.

Restaurant Bacchus
The Gourmet Restaurant �Bacchus� at Quinta do Estreito provides a choice of two distinct atmospheres. It has a very creative cuisine and uses fresh products selected by the Chef Lidia who carefully combines them with the regional elements of our gastronomy.

The Bacchus main room is decorated in warm and comfortable colours, the perfect setting for the cullinary treats we have in store for you.

The winter garden
A non-smoking area, light and airy with a spring like decor, also very charming, creating a fresher and more relaxed atmosphere.

Restaurant Adega da Quinta
Specially created for a different gastronomic event, the �Adega da Quinta� Restaurant at Quinta do Estreito serves Madeira�s typical country food. It's in the perfect position for stunnings view over the coast. Close by is the original wine cellar with barrels of Madeira wine, �ginja� and local brandy in a restored stone house.

It has two rooms with glass walls and is comfortably situated just before the old wine cellar and the charming open kitchen with fire place.

Cypress Bar
In a tropical atmosphere, extremely pleasant, this bar serves drinks and snacks at the pool area.

Vintage Bar
