Locally:

Jerez de la Frontera. The locality is famous for its wines, horses and flamenco culture and its old town is officially catalogued as a national Historic-Artistic Site. One of the most noble cities in the province of Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera combines the stateliness of its aristocratic palaces with the popular flavour of a typical Andalusian caserío, as seen at the annual Horse Fair which attracts visitors from all over the world. This immense culture is enriched by the flavours of the regional gastronomy, with its outstanding Jerez-Xérès-Sherry and Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda Denominations of Origin. A visit to any of the city’s bodegas will acquaint visitors with the local wine-making tradition.
The Alcázar in Jerez de la Frontera. The 12th-century Moorish fortress is the oldest construction in Jerez de la Frontera. The Puerta de la Ciudad (“City Gate”), the Mosque, Villavicencio Palace, parade ground and gardens, Puerta del Campo (“Country Gate”) and the Arab Baths are the most interesting features.
The Cathedral in Jerez de la Frontera. The present Cathedral was originally a collegiate church, since Jerez did not become a bishopric until 1980. The baroque building with five naves and a rectangular floor plan was constructed between 1695 and 1778 under the architects Diego Moreno Meléndez, Rodrigo del Pozo, Diego Díaz, Juan de Pina, Torcuato Cayón de la Vega, Juan de Vargas and Pedro Ángel de Albizu.
La Cartuja in Jerez de la Frontera. La Cartuja was built in the second half of the 15th century under the patronage of Don Álvaro Obertos de Valeto and is considered to be one of the finest buildings in the province of Cadiz. Of outstanding interest is the classical portico, the chapel of Santa María de la Defensión, the gothic cloister and the Arrayanes courtyard. Inside the church, the main altar is graced by Roelas paintings.
Doñana National Park. The biodiversity of this National Park results from the coming together of different ecosystems. The territory was declared UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1980.
La Atalaya Clock Museum. In La Atalaya palace, there is a surprising display of working clocks, with life-size holograms, baroque music, chimes and a constant ticking in the background in ten rooms full of colour and magic. The museum houses a collection of over 300 timepieces in different styles ranging from the 17th to the 19th centuries.
Jerez Motorcycle Circuit. The Andalusian circuit, situated in a small valley surrounded by hills, is one of the most competitive on the motorcycling calendar, with its combination of slow, medium and fast bends and two straight tracks where high speeds and top performances are attained by riders and their bikes. The 4423-metre circuit was inaugurated in 1985 and has a capacity for 275,000 spectators.

Typical products of Cadiz include wine, olives, cereals and certain kinds of fish, such as bream, blue whiting, blackspot seabram, and turbot. Fried fish in Cadiz is famous worldwide for its high quality, as is its shellfish, cheeses, and cured ham.
Traditional dishes in the region include salted fish served in a variety of different ways: "en sobrehusa", "en amarillo", fried, marinated, broiled, or oven-cooked. Other dishes include typical Cadiz "moruna" soup, Grazalema soup, stuffed pork loins, rice with honey, rice with rabbit, roasted hen, hot gazpachos, cabbage stew, and bull's tail stew.
Delicious desserts include "alfajores", "almendrados", and "roscos".

The various cities and towns of Cadiz offer a wide variety of handcrafted products, featuring horse-riding gear and saddles from Jerez, Alcala de los Gazules and Villamartin; blankets from Grazalema; leather goods from Ubrique and dolls from Chiclana.
In Cadiz capital, the main shopping areas are situated in the Historic Quarter and in the neighborhoods of Candelaria, San Francisco and San Felipe, whose shops offer a combination of modern and traditional goods. The modern part of the city has its own shopping district in Las Avenidas.
All the towns in the province of Cadiz hold open-air markets once or twice a week. From the early morning hours until lunchtime, there are stands selling sweets and dried fruit and vegetables alongside stands selling clothing and handcrafted products. The most popular markets are in Arcos de la Frontera (Fridays), Puerto de Santa Maria (Tuesdays), and Jerez de la Frontera (Sundays).
In the Cadiz Shopping Center, visitors can find the best fashion labels. Open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
